Promoting environmental preservation activities

Maintaining a rich environment is one of the most important challenges we face. We actively approach toward prevention of global warming and promote environmental preservation activities through our products, following global trends such as the paris agreement to preserve environment. Our Kyushu Head Office and Utsunomiya Factory have both acquired ISO 14001 accreditation and administer an environmental management system.

Effective use of energy to prevent global warming

Much of the energy needed to run factories, including power, lighting and air conditioning, is created through the combustion of fossil fuels like oil and coal, thus generating GHG emissions (CO2, etc.). Therefore, in order to cut GHG emissions and prevent global warming, we monitor energy usage volumes and actively promote energy-saving measures at both our factories and offices.

Reducing our environmental footprint through the appropriate use of resources

One of the major obligation of companies is their role in reducing the environmental footprint resulting from their business activities, such as emissions from production activities and the issue of how to dispose of waste following the use of products. We comply with laws and regulations relating to the environment; in addition to this, we also undertake a range of independent initiatives concerning the appropriate use of resources and protecting the environment.

Participation in area management at Utsunomiya Factory and Kiyohara Industrial Park

Utsunomiya Factory participated in the Kiyohara Industrial Park (location of Utsunomiya Factory) Smart Energy Network Project, which aims to encourage the efficient use of energy by consolidating the electricity and heat resources of multiple businesses. This system is expected to help save energy and cut CO2 emissions.
