Open Innovation
in SAGA Global Research Center

Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical has developed various Transdermal Drug Delivery System (TDDS) technologies through focused research and development. Based on these technologies, we have created a range of products. To achieve our corporate mission of promoting “TE-A-TE” culture worldwide, we will enhance the development of innovative pharmaceutical products through open innovation and collaboration with external partners who bring different perspectives and ideas.
Opening of SAGA Global Research Center
We have newly established the SAGA Global Research Center, consolidating the research facilities previously located in Tosu City and Tsukuba City, as a research hub for TDDS formulation and technology development. This enables us to conduct a series of research activities, from drug discovery to product manufacturing, in close collaboration at a single research center. In addition, the SAGA Global Research Center offers collaborative experimental space (Open Laboratory) available for use by our partners. In joint research and other collaborative efforts, partners may utilize Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical’s state-of-the-art research equipment.
